James Buchanan Barnes, also known as, Bucky, Winter Soldier, and most recently, Captain America, is among Marvel Comics' first characters. Created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby in 1941, Bucky first debuted in Captain America Comics #1 under Marvel's 1940s predecessor, Timely Comics.

Date: 2013-06-09 08:31 pm (UTC)It was easy enough to separate the Sergeant from her own universe with Bucky, but when she looked at him, it was difficult. She saw the boy (they were all boys) who'd barely had a chance to be a man before his life was cut short, and the pain his death had caused.
