Given his own life, however, Bucky lacks most of the prejudices of his era; the extent of politically correct language eludes him at times, but his mistakes come from a lack of knowledge instead of any malice, and it's the one area where he's always quick to offer an apology and correct himself. Growing up around a man like Steve, anything less wouldn't have been tolerated.
